Guy Stanway – C.E.O./Producer/Songwriter

With his Father being a very successful Jazz drummer Guy’s whole family were immersed in music so his inevitable first venture, after building and selling his first business to a Major PLC, was fronting the UK rock act ‘Mazique’ who headlined London’s famous Marquee club 7 times. With major success eluding them Guy swiftly moved into Management securing many world tours for his backing singers and artists whilst learning the many facets of the music industry which Guy freely admits, is an everyday process. With the digital age apparent Guy and his Daughter Lisa felt the timing was perfect for the formation of a progressive indie label that could react quickly to the ever changing market place hence the formation of their own label, ZY Records Ltd in 2006.

Lisa Stanway – Creative Director/songwriter

Lisa handles many day to day aspects of the business and like many indie labels her position demands that she covers much ground in her capacity which include A & R, Video storyboards, Press and PR commissioning, Single campaigns and tour organisation.

Lisa recently completed the ‘Chipmunk’ UK tour and the ‘Mr Hudson’ UK tours as TM with breaking ZY artist ‘Tenny Ten’ who she has worked closely with since his signing to the label.

Proving music really is in the blood Lisa is also an accomplished songwriter, she has tracks on two forthcoming albums and recently had a No 2 record in the Baltic States which she co-wrote.

Gary Stevenson – Record Producer

Gary has been directly involved with over 30 UK top 20 hit records, an American No 1, is currently working closely on the 3 main Zy Records artists and has worked with CEO Guy on and off for the last 20 years. Zy are proud to list Gary within their close knit team.

Laurence ‘Woo’ Allen – Record Producer/Songwriter

Woo’s career path has made a dramatic mark on music both sides of the Atlantic with his diligence to professionalism and boundary breaking style forming the basis of his unique approach to popular music.

Woo spent 7 years in the uncompromising world of Hip Hop’s heart in America’s New Jersey and during the next few years his reputation quickly spread and he was working with many industry giants of which we name just a select few: -

Elli U is a striking and gifted 21 year old artist from Riga, Latvia. She began performing at a very early age with her first 7 singles receiving heavy rotation from all 17 Latvian radio stations resulting in a number 1 single (which remained in the number 1 spot for 6 weeks) and 6 successive top 3 hits.

Elli signed to ZY Records in October 2008, is currently hosting a TV show in her home country as a VJ and her stunning and contagious debut album ‘Pure’ is due for UK release in November 2010.

Tenny Ten

Fresh from supporting ‘Mr Hudson’ together with Tinie Tempah off the ‘Straight no chasers’ UK tour and after his well supported and rave revues from the recent ‘Sun Bizarre Presents tour’ which featured ‘ Tenny Ten’, Chipmunk, Tinie Tempah and Skepta Tenny prepares to release his fully supported single ‘Love’ on the 26th September 2010 co-written with legendary producer and Universal signing ‘Johan’ Jones.

Tenny Ten is no newcomer to the UK music scene, his first independently-released mixtape, Ghetto Brick Road, earned huge praise from publications such as of Hip Hop Connection who hailed him as “one of the best British MCs to date”. He’s also gained the support from BBC Radio 1’s Tim Westwood and RasKwame as well as 1Xtras Twin B amongst other notable scene head honchos and that support is today still generously and deservedly still shown..

Tenny Ten signed to ZY Records in 2008 and his debut single in June 2010 spent 6 weeks in the Music Week club charts peaking at no 11 and the Music Week urban charts where it peaked at No 16 and Radio 1Xtra again supported the tune well especially the staggering Crazy Cousinz re-mix.

Tenny Ten’s stunning debut album ‘2010Shott’ is due for release on (when else) 10/10/10 and features tracks written with Atlanta’s finest ‘Tommy Gunz’, LA DJ Producer ‘DJ Felli Fell’ as well as features form UK ginats ‘Crazy Cousinz’ and 2 other UK hit Producers.
More recently Woo has had much success around the world, with 5 music videos and singles being released, ranging from Russian pop stars directed by world-renowned music video director Joseph Kahn to having the #1 Video on MTV UK from UK’s own Street Politiks. Mr. Woo is now in negotiations to having several of his artists perform live at the Olympics 2008 in Beijing, China. He has also teamed with Destiny’s Child producer Rob Fusari and Jones, singer/songwriter from Sweden signed to a major publisher.

Woo has been working with Guy and Lisa for under 12 months with Zy Records hit teenage starlet ‘Elli –U’ who has had 7 straight top 3 records and has been working extensively with Tenny Ten on his hotly tipped debut album ‘2010Shott’ due for release 10/10/10.

The new tracks completed by the team are now attracting the attention of one of the worlds largest labels and once again the ‘Woo’ magic appears to be paying dividends. Woo is an exceptional addition to the Zy Records team continuing to prove that his phenomenal talent is something not to be missed.
